Graves gone wild

  • Apr. 29th, 2008 at 9:55 AM

Today is the day. ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE is officially out! For those of you who like vampires, ass-kicking heroines, lots of action, humor, and some steamy scenes, go forth to the bookstore or online site, and pick up some hot grave action! (really, how many times can you say that in a sentence?? ;-)

From the back of the book:
You can run from the grave, but you can't hide...
Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She's still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head - wanted: dead or half-alive - means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she'll find that desire lasts forever ... and Bones won't let her get away again.

***ETA*** And Melissa Marr's INK EXCHANGE debuts today. As most of you know, it's the second book in  her faery court world. I've read it, it's aweseome, and I think it's going to be an even bigger hit than WICKED LOVELY was. Happy shared release day, Melissa!

Congratulations! :)

Amazon UK say it isn't released yet. They offer the opportunity to pre-order it, although they don't give a release date. I've done the deed and hope they'll get their act together soon.

Please don't scream and yell or smack my wrist and call me bad, but WalMart had your book last week.

So... I've already bought it, and read it, and loved it....

And am waiting impatiently for January of '09 ... *lol*

I bought my copy yesterday, but I'm not allowed to read it until I'm done with this term's school work, which I've been putting off too long already. Same with Ink Exchange - you two are my reward!

I do the same thing with books! They're my reward for when I've been a good little writer ("Edit three more chapters and then you can read for fun, Jeaniene...")

I was wondering about Ink Exchange having a release day for today, but it seems it came out in Canada earlier. Living in Canada actually has a plus for once. ♥

Great!

And I've got to say ... I thought it would be almost impossible to come up with another "grave" title, but I think you've got a winner with the subject line on this post. Hope everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Cuz I love it. Graves Gone Wild would certainly grab the eye of a bookstore browser. :-)
[info]frost_light wrote:

Graves Gone Wild was actually one of the titles I suggested to my editor for book three. She turned it down. Maybe I can work on her for book four, because I thought it was funny. Glad I wasn't alone in that opinion :)

your book
i know your book is coming out today and i have been patiently waiting for it. so when i went on the barnes and noble website just to make sure, it said that non of the book stores near me have it. which made me really really sad.
[info]frost_light wrote:

Re: your book
The website might not be updated yet, since the book *just* came out today. For example, my local store showed on the B&N page as not having any of my book in stock, but when I went there today to get a copy of INK EXCHANGE, they had my books out as well.

So maybe call your local store and see if it's there? I don't want you sad :)

Okay... did you coin that phrase 'wanted: dead or half-alive'. That's good stuff.

I'm getting this one and heading for Panera's. A little Cat and Coffee. Nice!

Just a random... but you'd think a guy who has his face plastered all over your Blog would have read an ARC a long time ago. Funny how that works. So it is... so it shall be!
[info]frost_light wrote:
Apr. 30th, 2008 02:51 pm (UTC)
My editor came up with the "wanted - dead of half-alive". Cool, no? (much cooler than chewing pumpkin seeds ;)

ARC's - you would have had to arm-wrestle my mother for one (and she plays dirty, trust me). I didn't even get to keep an ARC, my publisher only gave me a couple.

Better luck next time!
